Dear CYBBies,

Hope you're all well!!!

The General Synod of Bishops is currently underway to listen, discuss and discern the young heart of the Church. Please keep Archbishop Fisher OP, Archbishop Comensoli, Bishop Edwards OMI and Sebastian Duhau in your prayers throughout October as they contribute to the Instrumenum Laboris on "Young People, Faith and Vocational Discernment". Here's the Homily by Pope Francis at the Opening Mass of the general Synod and Sebastian at the offertory procession. We hope to keep you posted on updates over social media over the coming weeks.

Did you miss out on ACYMC???? Here are the some of the resources for your benefit.

The month of October is also dedicated for Marriage and family. Take time out to fast and pray for young people discerning their vocation to Marriage, for young couples and families and families going through a tough time. Speaking of families... we are so excited to welcome Kelly's third baby boy next month. Kelly will be on leave from the third week of this month and we ask you to also remember her and her beautiful family in your prayers. Kelly will resume work next year.

Don't know how to pray? Have no time to pray?

This tool will guide you to be still, listen to song and scripture and help you to ponder on the wonder of God is doing in your life.

Pray as you go!!!
"The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and bring to remembrance all that I have said to you" (Jn 14:26)

May the Spirit give us the grace to be a memory that is diligent, living and effective, that does not allow itself from one generation to the next to be extinguished or crushed by the prophets of doom and misfortune, by our own shortcomings, mistakes and sins. Rather may it be a memory capable of enkindling our hearts and of discerning the ways of the Spirit. With this attitude of docile listening to the voice of the Spirit, we have gathered from all parts of the world. Read Pope Francis' Homily at the Opening Mass of the Synod2018
We are all want and long for happiness. But should this be our goal? Happiness by its nature is circumstantial. We are made for Joy!!!

Fr Mike explains that the Christian understands that God knows his name, loves him, and is here with him now. This never changes, and it is what gives the Christian a perpetual joy to which happiness cannot compare.
