Dear CYBBies,

We are already half way through the Year of Youth and what a wonderful year it has been! We hope you are keeping warm and well as winter comes to its peak.

Let me take this opportunity to introduce myself, the newest member of the CYBB team. My name is Krishmalie Perera and it's a delight to join the team and continue the wonderful work carried out by Sarah over the last year. A big thank you for all she has done to support our youth across the diocese.

There are many youth encounters and stories of JOY reeling into the CYBB office from our local communities and we are blessed to have you all for the gift you are to the Church today.

You will be pleased to know that we are about to go live with final registrations for WYD. We will send out a special enews in the coming weeks when this occurs.

Don't forget that this weekend we will be saying a sad farewell to our head CYBBies, Bishop Peter! see details below for the event and we hope to see MANY of you there! (bring tissues, if not for you, for Kelly!)

I look forward to meeting with you all personally, supporting you and your local communities!

God Bless
Krishmalie & the CYBB Team

CYBB Pilgrim Cross Around Broken Bay

The Year of Youth Pilgrim Cross has made it's way through a few parishes over the last month.

St Ives: The youth of St Ives had their say through engagement in forums and special liturgical celebrations. The community of Brigidine College came together for Mass to celebrate their Foundation Day.

Chatswood: The cross was hosted for a second time at Chatswood Parish. A good crowd of young adults came together for conversations on "what is love" by Culture Project, confronting the challenges faced by young people in today's society and beckoning all to live the call of 'love' we were made for. The cross visit concluded with a magnificent night of praise & worship and a pilgrimage walk for a hand over to St Thomas' Willoughby the following morning.

Lower North Shore: The Youth celebrated the cross visit through liturgical celebrations across its parish and school communities and held breakfast/afternoon/morning teas and recreational activities and initiated a faith formation series and launched its youth groups. Talks were held on the 'Purpose of Life' by Culture Project and on 'Prayer' by Fire Up Ministries. The visit concluded with a Taize prayer encounter and a pilgrimage walk between its churches, followed by mass, sport and a BBQ brunch.

The Cross is currently at Epping & Carlingford Parish engaging its youth through a Praise & Worship night, live stations of the cross, pilgrimage, Taize celebrations and many more activities until the 27th of July, where after it will make its way to Pennant Hills. Keeping you'll in our prayer!
