DKA Through the Glass

We have been playing Through the Glass with customers the last few days. We love seeing you wave and smile! How cute is Lara in her Throwback Sweater!!

We are so grateful to be able to still do curbside pick up service and hope to be able to continue to provide yarn to you in some way as this week goes on.

Our doors remain locked to in store shopping, but the store is open from 10am - 2pm at a minimum. Please call us if you need help shopping. We're happy to do some personal shopping for you. We ship for a flat $4 fee or free with a purchase of $50 or more, and as of today, can still do curbside pickup.

We'll keep doing our best to you help you do your best! Stay positive. Think of the good things. Actually, don't just think of them...tell someone about them. We are hearing so much negative right now, lets try to lead with a positive the next time we talk to a friend! Let's lift each other up!

Hope you and yours are staying well - Aimee & the gang.

What are we watching?

We all seem to have a bit more free time these days. So I thought I'd see what our team is watching. Full disclosure, I messaged them all about 6 minutes ago.

Carroll: "Oh man, I wish I could say I’m watching a thoughtful documentary or an edgy, new series but I’m rewatching all the seasons of The Great British Baking Show. It’s all the drama I can take!"

Carly: "Started watching the Derry Girls with the subtitles on again. And watching One Tree Hill with Lily. Never watched it when it was out.... starting to realize why ; ) the acting is rough."

Beth: "Knitting podcasts and audio books (last one was Educated). As a family we are streaming Stargate. Yep, I'm super boring"

KC: "I'm streaming Monk while I run:) The 10k step streak must continue!"

Marlo: "Shitt's Creek and all things John Mulaney"

Sue: "We are watching American Pickers on the History Channel right now, but Friday I'll be watching Ozark on Netflix. The new season comes out!"

And me, Aimee, I can't get enough of Peaky Blinders. Can't wait to see how this crazy family survives the finale of Season 3!

What are you watching???

Arika in Cotton

Sue's been making good use of her "at home" time this week. Check out this Arika Cowl in one of our newest yarns from Berroco, Gingham.

We've knit the Arika cowl out of chunky wool before and we are loving it out of this cotton tape! Great for the warm season coming our way.

Do you Like Dogs?

Knitted Wit has dyed yarn named after some designers' dogs:)

Cute yes?

Some awesome colors in here. Imagine the possibilities. I think a pair of mittens would be so fun! Want some other ideas? There are some designs made just for the yarn too? Check them out.

In Threes

Doesn't get easier than In Threes Baby Cardigan. Really. A very easy first sweater option for you newer knitters.

1 skein of Juniper Moon Farms Cumulus made this one. This is the 0-6 month size. I used a US8 needle.

There is a new baby coming soon in the Doyle family and one of these might just be on the needles for the new arrival.

Bamboo Bloom

If you haven't made the Darn Knit Purl It cowl yet, this may be the perfect time.

Very easy project. All you need to know is cast on, join in the round, and knit and purl.

You knit the thin yarn and purl the stitch when the yarn is thick. Easy Peasy.

Cocoknits worth mentioning again

Somehow, in the midst of all of this chaos, we missed this awesome thing that Cocoknits is doing!

For any purchase you make at a local yarn store, you get a free pattern download from their website. One per person.

So, if you have made a purchase from 3/16 going forward, doesn't have to be a Cocoknits product, you can get a free pattern!

How does it work? Simply snap a pic and send it or forward your yarn store receipt to knit@cocoknits.com and you'll get the coupon code. It's a code to download from their website (not through ravelry). cool huh?

Thanks to Cocoknits for supporting local yarn stores!
