Supporting Indigenous Business Growth in South East Queensland. Weekly Update - March 3rd 2015

Welcome

A new interim board line up

Last week, SEQICC board members attended the Brisbane Lord Mayor's monthly Business Forum which was a great opportunity to gain an insight to the Brisbane City Councils Business support services, and listen to inspirational key note speakers.  I encourage all SEQICC members to explore the Brisbane City Council's business portal as there are some useful tools.

Our SEQICC can only strive and be sustainable through the efforts of all members and corporate supporters so I strongly encourage you to get involved. If you have any ideas or events that you would like the SEQICC Board to consider send an email through to the secretary@seqicc.com.au.

Yours sincerely

Murray Saylor

Host an Indigenous Business Networking - Friday Coffee Morning
We're looking for members and friends of Indigenous Business in South East Queensland (north to Sunshine Coast, south to Gold Coast, out to Toowoomba, Ipswich and Beaudesert, and east to Moreton Bay), to co-host our Indigenous Business Networking - Friday Coffee Mornings.  We would like to hold events in every region across SEQ, but we need your help to find the great cafes in your area. What does it take? All it takes is a bit of time, a few phone calls to your local cafe, and working with the SEQICC team. We've created a document to support prospective hosts. Have a read and contact us (secretary@seqicc.com.au) to have a chat.

Need inspiration for the event? Here's the vision for the Indigenous Business Networking event.

Contribute to the SEQICC in 2015 and beyond
There are many different ways you can become involved with the SEQICC. We'll be looking for new board members in the coming year, so if you're keen, let us know. Perhaps you might like to write an article on our blog, or you have a workshop idea you'd like to try out. Read more here or send us an email.

DIY Email

Managing your SEQICC newsletter subscriptions

We often get requests from readers of our newsletter to change their email addresses on our database. One of the most exciting things about modern day email lists is that you get to manage your subscriptions yourself. We are legally bound (under Anti-SPAM legislation) to provide you with a clear and easy way to unsubscribe yourself from this email.

As an organisation run solely by volunteers, it isn't possible for us to manage the subscriptions of the nearly 1000 people who read our newsletter. But it's okay, because you can manage your own in a simple two step process.

Step 1: Go to the bottom of this newsletter and click UNSUBSCRIBE.

When you click unsubscribe, you'll be taken to a page that looks like this:

Type in the email address that you received the newsletter to and click Unsubscribe. Now you're unsubscribed you'll never receive an email from us again (unless one of your awesome friends forwards it to you.)

Step 2: Go to the Newsletter sign - up page.

It's here and it looks like this:

Type in your details and click subscribe and you'll be receiving our newsletters in no time.

Thanks for subscribing to our emails, we'd love to hear your feedback.
