Still Going Strong - In a Whole New Direction!

Happy New Year to all of our supporters and followers interested in the creation of cohousing in Northwest Philadelphia!

This summer, after much consideration, we decided not to pursue the purchase of the condos being built in the Presbyterian church (at Mt. Pleasant and Germantown Aves.) The prices that were being projected were beyond most of our reach, so we have been busy regrouping and pursing interesting new ideas and people.

We have been working energetically with a dynamic, experienced realtor who truly "gets us” and is dedicated to serving our needs.  We're exploring various possibilities, including:

  • Several of us purchasing of a single large house,
  • Buying condos together in the same development,
  • Acquiring a small apartment building to transform into our homes.
We are still committed to living in the Northwest section of Philadelphia and are thinking creatively of ways to make that happen.

If you are still interested, we need you more than ever to contact us through our Co-Community Coordinator, Elayne Blender: (215) 248-0413
