DESIGN DEVELOPMENT UNDERWAY!

Transforming a church into a condominium complex suitable for cohousing is no small task! For the past two months, Ken Weinstein, owner and developer of the church building at 7111 Germantown Ave. has been working tirelessly with Morris Zimmerman of BWA Architecture on designing 1, 2 and 3-bedroom units and common spaces for our cohousing community.

Mr. Zimmerman has almost completed the schematic design phase and is moving into the design development phase. WVC has provided feedback on the designs several times and hired a prominent cohousing architect to review the drawings.  Over the next month - in the "design development" phase - the architect will test the feasibility of the schematic designs and finalize the details of how the building will function and look.

Meanwhile, WVC continues to draft policies and research the condominium documents which will establish the community culture.  Anyone interested in learning more, should come to one of our
events and ask lots of questions!
