Fall in Acadia National Park has been spectacular! Our guests have arrived from around the country and the world eager to explore all that Acadia has to offer. Whether kayaking on Eagle Lake, biking to Jordan Pond, or hiking up Precipice everyone has enjoyed their experience and created wonderful memories of their time on the island.
Summer is a crazy, fun time in Bar Harbor but many people think autumn is the best time to be here. Many times we have guests who spend their first fall here and tell us that they love this time of year and that they will return. And they do.
There is something about the light in the fall – the way it hits the forest and the ocean, making them sparkle. There is something about the crisp air that makes us want to bundle up in a big warm sweater. There is something about returning to the inn after a day of exploring and sitting by the fire or rocking on the porch with a feeling of accomplishment and of creating memories that won’t soon be forgotten.
All the seasons are special on the Coast of Maine and in Bar Harbor…but there’s something about fall – something magical!
Fall foliage, crisp night air, pumpkin bread … that’s Yellow House.
We look forward to welcoming you,
Pat & Chris Coston, Innkeepers
