Under the Help America Vote Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals with disabilities have specific rights to vote privately and independently. Accessibility and the opportunity to practice voting are extremely important.
The National Community of Practice for Supporting Families of Individuals with I/DD started in 2012 with six states. In July 2016, 11 new states were accepted into the Community of Practice (CoP), including Pennsylvania.
