International Sex Workers' Day

RhED* invites you to celebrate International Sex Workers’ Day at the launch of its RhED Art Project: Sex work – it’s a real job.
This event recognises and honours sex workers and welcomes you to view the art project workspace.
A series of pilot workshops have produced artworks to promote the working and human rights of sex workers to the broader community.
When: Thursday 2 June 2016, 2-3pm
Venue: brothel in Melbourne CBD

NSW - sex work stays decriminalised. The Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP) say they are pleased to see the explicit endorsement of the current system of decriminalisation of sex work by the NSW government.

ISCH is continuing to work on advocacy regarding legislation that applies to sex workers.
A pilot arts project regarding sex worker’s rights and voices is currently underway.
RhED is working in collaboration with St Kilda Legal Service, and other stakeholders to update the outdated version of LIP for sex industry workers.
RhED facilitated professional development workshops for sex workers. These were well attended with skilled sex worker presenters and an audience of sex workers!
