Moving Through Your Fear
The situations, activities, and individuals that frighten us remain static. It’s relative intensity does not change. Fear, on the other hand, self-magnifies. It is when you are afraid and envisioning all that might go wrong that the energy underlying your fear grows. A tiny flicker of anxiety can easily develop into terror that manifests itself physically and eventually paralyzes you into inaction.
Though frequently, in walking through that fear, we discover that the strength of our fright was out of sync with reality. And we learn that doing what frightens us can lead to great blessings.
Confronting your trepidation head-on will help you accept that few frightening scenarios will ever live up to the negative disasters that we sometimes play out in our minds.
2 Timothy 1:7 tells us “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline”.
You’re probably reading this now and thinking about all the things that scare you....good. The illusion of fear will always be amongst you, so be forever armed with faith. The faith to take action in the face of fear, the faith to believe in the presence of disagreement, and the faith to trust when all forms of doubt seem to be near and promising.
Arm yourself men and women of God with unshakable faith in God while standing in the face of fear!
Being in community with one another is imperative to our faith walk so I would like to extend an invitation of partnership with you along your spiritual journey and welcome you into the West End Single Ministry family!
