Meeting agenda includes the following:

Parklet/Bus Stop at Solano and Cornell
Speed Humps on the 1000 block of Key Route
Conceptual plans for a Park & Ride lot under the freeway
Traffic Calming on Washington Avenue on Albany Hill
Albany Emergency Services requirements and Traffic Calming Measures

MLK Day Ride Of Remembrance

A Great Ride in Solidarity and Community for the MLK Holiday

On Martin Luther King Day, Albany Strollers & Rollers members joined Rich City Rides’ Unity Ride event with members of Bike East Bay, Bike Concord, Outdoor Afro, other cyclists from all over the East Bay, and our own, home-grown Check for Bikes.

We rode in solidarity and remembrance with our neighbors and friends, bike activists, and regular folk. Thanks to Rich City Rides and Naj K. Smith for organizing this inclusive ride for Richmond community and beyond.

San Pablo Crossing at Dartmouth

Design under work to include cyclist protection

As the "final" design stands for the Dartmouth crossing, there are no accommodations for crossing cyclists. Due to issues with traffic lights, the protection bike riders rely on was cut from the design.

AS&R and Bike East Bay have sent a letter in the hope to solve this major issue, and you can find our preferred design and more details on our website.

Saturday, February 4th, 1-3pm, Dwinelle Hall, Room 209, UC Berkeley
Bike East Bay classroom instruction that focuses on road-cycling safely. For adults and teens. No bike needed. Details found here.
