Hi <<First Name>>,

I remember when I first walked into the Benevolence School and met the sweet little 3 year-olds sitting around a table just their size. I had no idea that 6 years later we’d be 300 students in with a two-story building.

For those of you that might not have seen photos of our building lately I wanted to share those with you today. In December of 2016 Providence United Methodist Church took up a Christmas Eve offering that covered the cost of this new building. At the time my husband had cancer and his biggest wish was that his struggle would be used for God's glory and it was. Many of you came together to make this building a possibility through that Christmas Eve offering and beyond. We lost Chad that April but he left behind a great legacy. He never got to see that building being built but he knew it was going to happen. I am sure he can look down on it now and see all that's been done... and it is good. God is so good every day!

A view inside the gates.

Solar power was installed earlier this year. We can now use computers, fans and have lighting at night!

Our administrators office.

A peek inside our kitchen. We have a staff of three in charge of prepping food daily for 300 students.
We recently had to repair the roof due to coconuts falling on the metal roof, water leaking and ruining our food. We added a concrete roof this time!

With the new school building we added a new bathroom with running water including flush toilets.
Many of our students have never used a flush toilet before. They were excited!

New this year an extra hand washing station due to Covid-19.

We recently added a clinic! I am so excited about this one. During one of our last trips we had a sweet little girl that was sick and had to sit in class with her students. Now we have a place for students that need a little TLC. Now we just need to fill it with meds and get a bed. To make the clinic happen we were able to use the walls we already had. Just had to make a front wall and roof.

We have almost maximized all of our available space. Our original 2 room building still houses two of our classrooms. Our future goal is to add two classrooms to our new building and turn the old building into a room for the students to eat. We just finished working on the yard to grade it out. When it rained water would come into the old building so that is now fixed and it created a flat area fo the kids to play.

We have come a long way in just a few short years!

This is where we started just 6 years ago... God did it!

With grace,

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal
glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will
himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
