First I just want to say thank you to those that participated in the Big Pay Back this year. How exciting was that! We raised over $5,000 in 24 hours and that is a HUGE step towards meeting the Bienveillance School's needs over the next school year.
We also participated in our 3rd Worship Without Walls with Providence United Methodist Church making 50 superhero capes and filling just as many Bags of Hope that will go out to children in local communities. And thanks to Cook's United Methodist for challenging themselves to raise enough money over the summer to provide 2,500 meals at the school! They are so excited to make this happen!
We have some exciting news at Grace & Glory and we wanted you to hear it here first. Tomorrow we are picking up the keys to our new office!!! A lot of prayer and thought has gone into this decision and we feel it is the right time to take this next step. We have secured a donor to cover the first year's rent and we were given an incredible deal on our new Headquarters!! It all sounds so official now! Not only does this move allow us to get out of the home office but it allows us to invite people in, provide community outreach, hold fundraisers and collect donations.
I have to admit, growth is scary and I have almost talked myself out of this decision several times but our board completely backs us up on this. Every no has turned to a yes and I believe this is where God is leading us. However, my greatest fear is to fail you, our donors and supporters, as well as our kids in Haiti. Rest assured your donations do and will continue to go where you ask them to go. That will not change. We are 100% dedicated to our mission and we see this as a way to increase those efforts. Our priorities are the same, they just have a more suitable home now.
We look forward to updating you on the progress of our new HQ. We have a little work to do to make the space our own. Nothing a little paint and handy wood work won't fix! Then we'll invite you all out to come and see it!
So, here we are taking fear by the horns and allowing room for growth! Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers during this transition... and if your not afraid of a paintbrush... feel free to hit reply.
Much love and appreciation,
Founder, Grace and Glory
