Our first Friday at the Downtown 3rd Farmers Market!
We've made it past the shortest day of the year! The sun has already begun its transition back towards the north and we can look forward to more light and warmer days ahead of us.
This month has brought some excitement to our lives along with the cold air--read on to learn more.
Downtown 3rd Farmers Market
Jeremy and I have opened a produce stand at the Downtown 3rd Farmers Market! We are thrilled to take our garden's overabundance to market each week and make the valley's freshest produce available to others. The event is every Friday from 9 am to 2 pm at the old downtown bus station, adjacent to the I-95 Downtown/Casino Center off-ramp. The market features live music, raw honey, artisan bread, handmade soap, and of course beautiful fresh produce! Stop by our stand and have a cup of hot herbal tea with us.
Yoga Practitioners' Potluck
Jeremy and I host potlucks with the goal of fostering community and helping yoga practitioners connect with each other. Bring a plant-based dish to share and plan to enjoy the positive energy of others who are also using yoga as a tool to uplift themselves.

Winter Posture/Asana Workshop Series
Students have three more opportunities to participate in the Desert Yoga School's Winter Posture/Asana Workshop Series.
These mixed-level workshops are intended to provide yoga practitioners with the knowledge and techniques that will help them make progress with their postures. Small groups and two instructors allow for individualized attention. The material presented to each practitioner will be adjusted to match their ability, and students can expect to leave each workshop with a practice plan that will help them advance their postures to the next level.
Each of the 4.5-hour workshops includes:
-A well-rounded asana practice
-An hour of focused work on the workshop's specific topic
-One segment of a four-part talk on asana practice for stress relief
-A plant-based lunch featuring homegrown organic produce

Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga at UNLV
Spring semester enrollment is open at the university and I'm teaching three sections of PEX 169 on Tuesdays and Thursdays: 8:30-9:20 am, 10:00-10:50 am, and 2:30-3:20 pm. This introductory course in yoga postures practice enables students to lead themselves through a level-appropriate 45-minute breathing-and-moving routine. Not a UNLV student but interested in the course? It's possible to enroll online as a non-degree-seeking student and register for the one-credit course. Click here for my page on the UNLV website.
