The heat of mid-summer has passed and we have been delighting in the cool of the morning and evening hours. May you all find the time to get out in the beauty of our desert home and take advantage of the natural wonders of this incredible world!
Read on for details about current and upcoming Desert Yoga School programs. The Asana Workshop Series that Jeremy and I are offering in December/January may be of particular interest to students who have established a regular postures practice and are ready for more coaching on inversions, backbends, arm balances and seated postures for turning inward and discovering the self. Get individualized instruction regardless of your level--perhaps learn to stand on your head for the first time, or maybe you're ready for advanced variations! These sessions also offer a unique opportunity for yoga teachers to learn how to teach some of these more tricky shapes.
"Subtle Body + Philosophy" Course
The 34-hour "Subtle Body + Philosophy" course that Jeremy and I are teaching for YogaWorks is bringing us much energy and joy! An exceptional group of 16 advanced teaching trainees has been equipped with tools that allow them to practice all 8 limbs of yoga. We are grateful for the opportunity to share our knowledge about yoga's lesser-known aspects with this diverse group of yoga teachers.

Do you dream of adding your face to the lineup? Jeremy and I plan to teach our full 200-hour program during the summer of 2020! There is room for ten students and some names are already on the list. Get in touch if you are interested!
Introductory Courses at UNLV
Fall semester at UNLV has begun and I am grateful to be sharing the gift of self-led yoga practice with 90 university students. In PEX169, students learn to lead themselves through a 30-minute postures practice, breath exercises, and concentration practices that promote physical, mental and spiritual health. My objective is to empower students with yoga practices that they can integrate into their own daily self-care programs.
Info about my spring semester schedule will soon be available on the UNLV website--including a special 7:30-8:20 am session for students who prefer to get their sweat on early and/or have elsewhere to be later in the day!
Winter Posture/Asana Workshop Series
Registration is open for the Desert Yoga School Winter Posture Workshop Series! Four well-rounded sessions that are open to practitioners who have an established postures practice and want to focus their attention on understanding and executing different types of shapes. 9:30 am-1 pm on Saturdays in December and January. $140 for the full 18-hour course, or $35 each--our most affordable program.
