Every day we have the opportunity of choice. We can choose to honor our values and thus ourselves. We can choose to establish and respect boundaries that ease our stress. We can choose to practice presence, deepening a relationship with someone else or ourselves. The real rebellion is choice: The choice to align our thoughts and actions toward greater balance.
 

THINK & DO

The same free will we have to think and act mindlessly, we have to think and act mindfully; that is, with nonjudgmental awareness of our thoughts and behaviors and their impact on ourselves, others and our environments. What do you choose today? Choosing awareness even once today can kindle awareness of everything you do tomorrow. Choose to express your values, say no, or listen today, and you empower yourself for tomorrow.
