Freedom Through Football: The Story of the Easton Cowboys and Cowgirls

Red Emma's is excited to cosponsor this presentation by Will Simpson, on his new book about the Easton Cowboys and Cowgirls, a sports club from the UK that was founded 20 years ago on the principles of autonomy, democracy, internationalism and inclusivity. The club has gained a profile in the UK for using soccer as a tool of solidarity, touring Zapatista-held Mexico and the West Bank, and has played a part in creating a network of like-minded anarchist and activist teams around the world.

Support NYC Grand Jury Resistor Jerry Koch

Jerry Koch, a NYC anarchist and legal activist, has been subpoenaed to a grand jury. The state is compelling him to testify, and his refusal to comply will very likely land him in prison for up to 18 months without being charged or convicted of any crime. By resisting this witch hunt investigation of anarchists, Jerry is standing up for all of us. Let’s stand up for him.
The Support Jerry Committee will present information about grand juries, Jerry’s case, and how to support him. We will also be screening “The Wind that Shakes the Barley,†one of Jerry’s favorite films. More info at jerryresists.net
