First International Festival of Contemporary Mosaic
La Notte d'Oro is October 10, 2015!
The City of Ravenna and the International Association of Contemporary Mosaicists, AIMC, announce the
fourth edition of the First International Festival of
Contemporary Mosaic, RavennaMosaico.
The event will take place from October 10 to November 8,
2015, and it will host exhibitions, conferences, lectures,
presentations of publications related to mosaic and scientific
studies related to the development of contemporary mosaic.

online very soon, at http://www.ravennamosaico.it/eng,
including how AIMC members can participate.

MOSAIC TODAY IX INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
The cultural association "MOSAICO OGGI (MOSAIC TODAY)", Rome,
in collaboration with the City of Bracciano and the Faculty of Architecture
of Sapienza University, Rome,
ANNOUNCES
the IX INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION - Biennale - "MOSAIC TODAY" open
to all artists who express themselves through mosaic, university students
of Architecture and Environmental Design, of landscape and interior
spaces who have carried out an exam in Contemporary Art History with
a reference to contemporary mosaic and have done or intend to carry
out a thesis on this form of artistic expression
and / or wish to submit within the time allowed a detailed study on it.
The Competition, has as its primary purpose to bring out an always new
interest for the ancient mosaic art and for the contemporary mosaic and
to stimulate in the Italian and foreign countries, the creativity enlivened
by new methodologies and by new forms of expression.

Toyoharu Kii's solo exhibition "Dreams of Tesserae"
February 7- June 28, 2015

This panoramic exhibition spans 26 years of Kii's career, from 1988 to 2014.
His principle for making mosaic is, " Find expression that only the
medium of mosaic can realize". With 30 mosaics exhibited, you will see
his trials.

A developing series of works for the Brewery Tap in Folkestone. The gallery space will
act as an extension of my studio for several days and will finally resolve itself into an
exhibition space for the last 2 weeks of February. My aim is to test and play out some
of the ideas related to my research into the question of how mosaic art can offer an
alternative framework for the analysis of colour modulation and spatial articulation
in contemporary sculpture and installation practices.
Opening: February 12 - 26, 2015

Ending: Friday February 27 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Mosaico come Arte Contemporanea
- at Grottaglie, Terlizzi/Bari
This touring exhibition, which began as the members' exhibition in Vienna during the XIV AIMC International Conference, continues with additional showings. Forty artists from twenty-two nations show a variety of expressions of contemporary mosaic.
The exhibition is currently showing at Grottaglie for the period January 12 - February 12, 2015.
