KTIZMA TEU 3-Dream Workshop of the Amethyst Art Group

Conception of Olivera Gavrić Pavić

September 11- 30, 2014 in Belgrade.

Members of the Amethyst art group:  Petar Vujošević, Olivera Gavrić Pavić, Ivan Pavić, Dragan Vasić, Borislav Nježić; plus  invited artists: Slavica Marković, Milanka Vasić, Dragana Nikoletić, Vedran Vučić, Katarina Đorđević, Snežana Lukić,  Gordana Stanišić and Jovana Popović.

The work is from a collection of artists working in different media: mosaic, zgrafito, drawing in a variety of techniques, mosaic sculptures and other objects, trash-art, collage , calligraphy, computer graphics…

The exhibition is in permanent process. But it is not an ordinary workshop. It is more like performance art in that it happens here and now, art with personal presence.   Working during the exhibition, authors want to show that art is an idea that must be lived.

Adrian Paci

La gloria vostra fu sole

Gallery Kaufman Repetto
via di Porta Tenaglia 7, Milano

Solo exhibition of  Adrian Paci
Curated by  Pierpaolo Campanini
Exhibition:  September 19 - November 8, 2014

Exhibition of painter Adrian Paci, including two mosaics of Franc Paci on Adrian Paci's cartoons.

. . .The mosaics reveal to us, by their very nature the essence of the work of Adrian Paci: dust and earth, narrated often in the drawings, create the mortar. The artist goes in search of the marbles to change the nature of the events into epic. The stones narrate well and, through the  images, they protect like amulets: they bring with them good luck, become ornament and blessing…

Artist's Statement
‘There is an invisible creator in the desert - the wind - which forms landscapes of continual change . . . The realisation that nothing in this world is permanent is one which has absorbed my thinking for many years. I use the qualities inherent within my materials of gold and glass to manipulate light and to try to fix for eternity something which I know, no longer exists . . . This is the real meaning and lesson of the desert ...to convince us of the only certainty -death -  while telling us that there is only life and perpetual transformation.'  Elaine M.
