On February 22nd, a wave of support will lovingly flow around our planet, globally reuniting yoginis and yogis that want to dedicate their time and practice to a higher cause. The World Yoga Day 2015 focuses on everyone´s basic right of having access to proper, foundational education.
More than 30 million elementary school-aged children in Sub-Saharan Africa do not go to school. 18 million of these children are girls. The benefits of education go far beyond being able to read a book or sign your name. Educated girls grow up to be mothers with healthier children than their less educated peers. Their children are more likely to be educated themselves and less likely to be impoverished. By educating one child, we can empower generations.
Also in 2015 I have decided to actively support this year´s World Yoga Day. In cooperation with ONE YOGA we organize on the 22nd of February a donation based yoga class that will pass on all that you wish to share to the "Thriving Scholars" project. The studio itself as well as I will work and support this good cause for free: Please, come and reunite with us! Offer your time, your dedication, your heart and positive thoughts! We are very much looking forward to yoga with you for a good cause!
