It has been a busy fall and I hope you all had a great playing season.  Great year for Skokie CC after the regrassing project and excited for the 2017 Western Am next season.  I wanted to update you a little on what has been going on and what will be taking place over the next few months with my teaching schedule.  Also. there is a player update at the bottom of the page highlighting some of the youth players achievements this season.  I hope to see you at Skokie as I will be starting back up the second week of November with some programing sessions and individual lessons in the indoor facility.

This has been a long time in the making, but finally released the program I have been working on for the past three years, Measured Practice.

Measured Practice™ allows competitive players to analyze their game in a strokes gained and lost method. This program will analyze your on-course stats and more importantly your practice stats.

Tracking practice stats will allow players to practice with accountability and understand the quality of their shots at a higher level. Creating focused practice sessions on areas of your game that are losing you the most strokes is the most effective way to gain traction towards improvement and creating momentum in your game. For more detailed information please see the About page.

There are a couple options for Youth Players to take advantage of in the off season.  Contact me for more details and we can figure out where your player fits into the off season training programs.  These are for players that are focused on golf as one of their top sports and have a desire to play golf at a competitive level.
Will Nummy
Will has a very solid 2016.  Will improved his Illinois Junior Golf Association scoring average by 5 strokes from the previous year to 75.3 this season.  This helped Will finish 12th on the IJGA point standing for 2016 season.

Will finished T-21st at the Illinois High School State Finals with a score of 154.  This would help the New Trier Team finish second in the state of Illinois.

Congrats to Will, all the hard work is paying off!
Lizzie Kenter
Lizzie had a solid year as well.  Lizzie finished 12th on the IJGA Junior Tour, winning one tournament and placing second in two others.

Lizzie saved her best golf for the high school season and specifically for her regional and the state finals.  Lizzie shot a 77 on a par 75 in the regional tournament helping New Trier win their qualifier as a team.  Lizzie shot a 79 the first day of the state finals and helping her team head into the second day in second place.

Look for a strong 2017 from Lizzie Kenter!
Will Hedstrom
This was Will's first season competing on the IJGA with regularity and he did not have a bad start.  Will had developed into a nice player and will have a big 2017.  Will played well in the New Trier Invite and placed 5th with a score of 80.  He then played well at their conference tournament and won with a score of 77.  Will has quit a bit of potential and look for big things from him 2017!
Fall Competitive Players Program
Pictured above is Charlie Creamean (left) and Jimmy Decillo (right).  These two players won their age division in the Fall Competitive League that was started this season.  Charlie's age group played the forward tees at Skokie and Jimmy's age played an abbreviated 9 hole course around 2400 - 2500 yards. Players could play in all 12, nine hole events and take their best 6 scores for their average.

Charlie Creamean's Scoring Average 37.00
Jimmy Decillo's Scoring Average 36.83

Great playing to all 13 players that played in this Fall Shoot Out!

The 2016 PGA Junior League was a great success!  The team went undefeated and won their league finals.  Four of the players went on to the All Star team where they made a good run for the state playoffs.  It was great to see them compete at such a young age.  Special thank you to my intern this summer Jack Ramsett as he played a large hand in the success for the younger programs.
