Celebrating the 4th of July with family & friends typically centers around food, fun and especially fireworks! However, that fun can quickly dissipate when something goes wrong. Over 9,300 injuries were caused by fireworks in 2015, with 45% of those injuries occurring in children under the age of 14.

Ask Dr. Tisdel - What is a Bunion?
"Many people think a bunion is a simple bone prominence by the big toe. Actually, a bunion can be a progressive deformity of bones and joints. These mal-aligned structures can cause a painful “bump,” but can also cause functional problems, leading to other regions of foot pain. Treating a “simple” bunion may not be so simple!"
-Christopher Tisdel, MD

An orthopedic surgeon, especially a foot and ankle specialist, would be best trained to correct a bunion, achieving lasting improvements in pain relief and function. Please visit online or call (248) 335-2977 and make an appointment with Dr. Christopher Tisdel, fellowship trained foot and ankle surgeon.
