A Few Words from our Founder and President, Sarah duPont
2019 has been one of Amazon Aid’s busiest years in pursuing our mission to educate and inspire change to save the Amazon. We could not have done it without the thousands of individuals from around the world who have supported us in our endeavors to touch hearts and minds, and create global change to protect one of the world’s most important ecosystems. With the news of the devastating fires in the Amazon came an outpouring of your voices whether as an artist, a journalist, a student, a scientist, or even a new parent who became alarmed about the future for their children. Unfortunately, the Amazon is now at the tipping point and we need global citizens to unite in efforts to protect forests. Your concern and generosity has been inspirational and has given us hope that we can together create a global movement to save the Amazon.
Please consider us this year by donating to Amazon Aid to support our work. Every penny helps. We are grateful that earlier this month Ecowatch, a leading environmental online site, named Amazon Aid as one of the four organizations to give to.
Onward! We are excited about working together with you in 2020!
With our soft launch of River of Gold within the educational sector, we reached over 30 U.S. Universities, Colleges and Institutions, thousands of viewers with our free online screenings, private and public screenings for events worldwide that included the Franciscan Community, the Gemological Institute of America, NYC Jewelry Week, Conservation X Labs, the U.S. State Department and internationally in Rome, Columbia, Panama, and Venezuela.
