It is one of those months where I have difficulty to select a theme. There is so much change going on for me - don't worry I have been asking for it and, from my perspective, there is no end to change. Sometimes I am not sure if I am coming or going if i am up or down. Simply, it is a rollercoaster for me right now. Writing this, I suddenly wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that I practice, whenever I think of it, to push down my walls, willing to receive what is around me and what is going on in the world.
Hmmmm! may be there is a theme emerging: What if we talk about the walls we have up to "protect" ourselves from the world around us, from negative energies. Now I wonder; does an infinite being need protection? You are an infinite being. The reality is, an infinite being does not need any protection at all. We have learned to put up walls to keep things out, to limit the level of awareness we have. That is the protection we feel we need?
Because I am making it a practice to push my walls down, for the past week I have scanned the news (mostly reading the 'summary' and some articles fully) - national and international - several times a day. Every timeI do, I perceive sadness, agony, anger, frustration, hopelessness and also gratitude, pride, fulfillment, kindness, caring. I know what I perceive is not mine; it belongs to others. I don't do it because I have sympathy, empathy, or compassion. (Btw, do you know what compassion really means? Look it up in a dictionary before 1945. It means: suffering as did Christ on the cross. Not what you thought!?) I do it in order to not separate from myself. I do it to have the awareness of what is going on around me and to increase my awareness.
There is enough time during the day when my walls are up. My desire is to teach myself to have them down as much as possible and to modulate them as necessary. Modulating is an active verb, meaning I am choosing to have my walls down or to pull them up, a bit or a lot, depending on what is going on for me and what space I am in.
The problem with walls is that they block the flow. They keep things out, and they also work in the other direction, they do not let me out either. How much can I be me when I am hiding behind a wall? My aim is to be me no matter what and to be aware of everything around me.
I invite you to see where you have walls; how do you use them? Are you being you? Do you know what that means? If not, I am traveling to facilitate Being You Adventures, an adventure for you to go on in order to find out who you be. (upcoming places below)
This is an article I wrote for a magazine submission. It will give you some information on the Being You Adventure:
Most of us grow up with the projection of our parents, members of our extended family, teachers, family friends - you get the picture - of who we are and how we are supposed to be. How did you deal with them? Did you rebels against them or did you agree with them? No matter what you did, these projections had a major impact in forming who you are and what your life is like today. Do you know who you are and what is really try for you? Now imagine your life 10 years from now. Can you actually enjoy YOUR life or are you living the life others told you can have or should have?
Now imagine waking up in the morning with a sense of gratitude. Imagine feeling really good about yourself and not needing to prove anything to anybody. You know who you really are, free of others’ projections. Knowing what is true for you frees you to choose what makes it fun for you to be alive.
Being you is not about succeeding as you or doing anything better. It is about the energy of you, whatever that may be. It is different for each person. When you are being you, you stop being at the effect of the world around you. How often do we attempt to deal with being at the effect of the world by creating a predictable life, by being in control of everything? How much energy does this require? How much judgment do you have to do in ordert to decide if you are doing the right thing? How much space is there in your life to just have fun?
I had my share of projections, not only while growing up but also during my marriage. To that I added my own assumptions as to how I was supposed to behave as a wife and mother. These assumptions were a composite of the projection I bought as being correct and true. During the past years, I took classes which allowed me to become aware of all that and begin the journey of discovering who I truly am. Now I am stepping into a level of freedom, of awareness, an ability to ask questions, to choose from all the possibilities I can perceive and ways to create the life I would like to live. I have drastically reduced my level of self-judgment. I am not just alive, I really enjoy my life. Life has become an adventure, every day is an adventure if I am willing to be present with what is and not hide behind a pretense.
Being You is a gift available to everyone who chooses it, no matter what age. What if Being You could be fun? What if there could be ease in your life not matter what?
This time, I am not listing any upcoming classes. I have a series of classes under the Theme of Introduction to Access Consciousness. They address subjects like money, relationship, business, creating you life, and body. They all meet in Santa Fe on Thursdays through the end of July at 6:30pm. You can find more details on my website.
As I said earlier, I am beginning to travel in the US to facilitate Being You Adventures; both an evening adventure and a one day adventure. In a few days, I will be in Albuquerque: Friday, June 17th at 6:30pm for the Evening Adventure and then Saturday, June 18th at 9:30am for the One Day Adventure. Annie Chin Taylor is my host there. If you live in the area or have friends who do, what might be the effect of having a strong sense of self, of no longer having a need to proof anything to others?
I am working with local hosts to create classes in Colorado in July, in California in August, and in Montana in September. After finalizing these, I am looking to begin working with hosts in Wisconsin, Alaska, and Florida. Next year, in addition to planning more workshops in the US, I would love to offer workshops in Europe in March / April. The beauty of the all day adventures is that there is a lot of flexibility. I have the time to explore with participants where they have questions or I can have a theme: Being You with Money; Being You - Being a Benevolent Leader; Being You and Communion with the Earth to name a few possibilities.
If you or someone you know would like to host me, let me know and I will tell you what is involved in it and the benefits.
All of Life comes to me with
Ease, Joy and Glory! ®
