Like Open Day - Celebrating Produce of the Coal River Valley on Facebook

Slow Food Hobart will partner with UTas for their Open Day at Grote Reber Museum & Mount Pleasant Radio Observatory as part of National Science Week. The Mount Pleasant Radio Observatory is a radio astronomy based observatory owned and operated by University of Tasmania, located 20 km east of Hobart in Cambridge. It is home to three radio astronomy antennas and the Grote Reber Museum.

SFH's Jo Cook has curated a delicious array of Coal River Valley producers who will share their delights throughout the day (10am – 4pm), highlighting the abundance of this region.  No need to book, attendance is free and stall holders will have plenty of food and drinks available to purchase. There will also be tours of the facilities, 3D movies, face painting, rocketry and many other events.
