College: a time for experimenting, for trying the latest fads, and using the most cutting-edge technology.  Yet, few things are as popular on college campuses as ye olde a cappella club!  Though collegiate a cappella dates back to the 1800s, its presence on college campuses has done nothing but grow, gaining popularity in the 1980s and even inspiring the hit 2012 movie Pitch Perfect and its sequel.

Now you can get in on the a cappella fun when you join some of the best New England college a cappella groups for Pitch! - a concert performed on Saturday, April 9th  at 2pm and 7:30pm.
Special guest stars The Rockin’ Daddios will perform a selection of a cappella doo wop hits, kicking off the show old school style prior to the more contemporary songs of the college groups.

Hosted by Jim Rogato, the show will feature Bowdoin College’s Miscellania, Colby College’s Megalomaniacs, and Alabaster Blue from UNH.

The show will feature a range of music from Billy Joel and Simon and Garfunkle, to more contemporary music from Sam Smith and Jess Glynne.
Saturday, April 9th at 4:30pm

Please join us for a reception in honor of Steven S. Richmond and an unveiling of a plaque in his memory.

The reception is open to the public and will take place in our lobby between the matinee and evening performances of Pitch.

All are welcome to attend, and celebrate the life of our first board chairman and "the Voice of the Winnipesaukee Playhouse."
