The Garon family wine history in the Northern Rhone dates back to 1475 the year Jean, the first grape grower was born. Established in Ampuis, in the heart of Côte-Rôtie, the estate has been passed down from generation to generation. For years the grapes were sold to Guigal but that changed in the 1990's when the family began bottling and selling their stellar wines.

Today history continues to be written, and it is always together that the Garon family work the lands of their ancestors.

The family has chosen the path of elegance in wine and they say 'A great wine is a wine that we never tire of, that we do not forget'

Most of these brand new releases have yet to be reviewed however recent vintages consistently score in the low to mid 90s from both the Wine Advocate and Vinous.

2020 Cotes du Rhone 'La Part des Vivants'

The wine reflects the intensity and flavours of Syrah.  Wild blackberry and plum with an undercurrent of earthiness present on the nose and carry through to a full bodied palate with chocolate and spice making an appearance on the lingering finish.
