What is Person Centred Planning?
The halow project is a Person Centred organisation which puts the young people we support at the heart of everything we do. Our Building Futures Group has just started it's Person Centred Planning sessions - this is a process of learning how a person wants to live and then describing what needs to be done to help that person move towards that life. During the year, individuals are encouraged and shown how to establish a Circle of Support. This is a group of people they feel can help and guide them to make important decisions in their lives. Young people are encouraged to voice their opinions, to discover who they are as individuals, to think about what they want out of their lives and what support they might need to help them achieve those goals.
Are you or someone you know looking for rewarding volunteering opportunities? Volunteer with our young people - we are recruiting now! Contact our volunteer team

Buddy Recruitment Drive - Update!
As you may know we are continuously recruiting for halow Buddies. At the start of the year we set about a recruitment drive which has allowed us to recruit a number of new buddies. As ever the selection process, checks, induction and training is a thorough process and it can take some time to get new buddies into service. We are delighted with the new recruits and hope to have the new team supporting our young people very soon. Please let us know as far in advance as you can if you or your young person needs or wants a Buddy as we can't always supply halow Buddies immediately.

If you know anyone seeking a fabulous, flexible job supporting halow young people send them our way. Check out the website and contact us – we are recruiting NOW! To find more about the role visit our Buddy blog, Best job by far!
Look out for the April Social Activities timetable which will be emailed out to you tomorrow. Get your Easter holiday activities booked up now. If there is an activity you would like to see halow offering make sure you come along to the next Youth Committee meeting on Tuesday 7th April at The Kings Head.
My halow story
Working for halow has played an enormous part in my occupational and personal development. Being a member of such a dynamic fundraising team is amazing; you learn so much and every day is different. I have a wonderful role that incorporates trust fundraising and developing media content.  It’s a pleasure to work with such a friendly, dedicated and passionate group of people. The young people are inspirational and I love helping to raise funds for all the brilliant activities and projects.
Thank you to everyone who got involved in our Love halow Campaign this February, selling our heart lapel pins, telling us why you love halow and making donations. We are really pleased with how the Campaign went and loved seeing all the pictures and quotes we received. Click the link below to see a film made by our ARTGU group to celebrate the campaign.
