GCSC Spin B Crew Call
Week 7 of 30 ["Captain Vic's blog notes"]
Naples Spin B Training Camp
Another full weekend as we checked out one of Vee Jay's qualified drivers [#20099] during his Opti start off shore. They just happened to be on our spin line running SSW from Dr. Pass. And it just happened that his dad was trimming spin on that run.
Sunday we did standard reverse spin Program A and met up with SV Shock off Naples City Pier ... now that Dr. Pass has been dredged we expect to see them out a lot. Kris is getting the feel of operating mastman.
Dennis on board Shock got this great photo of our Harlequin spin. That's me on the foredeck adjusting pole height.
During the week the NHS 420 team [with Vee Jay's foredeck man] had a really nice day to practice capsizes. Click on image for short 1-min video.
We plan to be sailing the 3-day Thanksgiving vacation. Let us know if you are in town.
I will try to send out this crew call every week or so ... if you are available this coming weekend or in the near future, our spin program runs about 4 hours leaving from Naples City Dock. It is possible that we may do a standard Thursday spin run if we can get at least 5 people on board.
Get in touch with us to work into our upcoming schedule!!!
We will decide whether to participate in regattas depending on how many crewpeople are available a couple weeks before the regatta!!!
There are 2 regattas coming up. Depending on crew available, Vee Jay will try to participate.
