Hamazkaine Armenian Sydney Dance Company & Zvartnots Dance Ensemble of Los Angeles Performance August  4th & 5th, 2012 Concourse Theatre, Chatswood, Sydney

This year, for the first time, the Hamazkaine Armenian Sydney Dance Company proudly invited the reputable Zvartnots Dance Ensemble of Los Angeles to perform with them during a cultural showcasing that has surely become one of the best that the ASDC has ever produced. The 40 member troop, led by renowned Artistic Instructors, Vartan and Armine Aghajanian, graced the stage, demonstrating that no matter which corner of the world you are from, we are all Armenian and tell the same cultural story. Both nights were a tremendous success and the ASDC Board of Directors would love to thank the entire community, along with the ASDC and Zvartnotz members, for their support and efforts in ensuring that both concerts were triumphant.

We would also like to thank all of our backstage helpers who ensured that our concert ran successfully. Thank you

ASDC’s Performance at the 21st Commemoration of the
Independence of Armenia
at Galstaun College

On the 9th September our various dance groups performed on the green fields of Galstaun College. With the bright sun above and the Armenian flag glowing behind them, they danced the story of our history and heritage, reinventing and resonating the happiness felt by Armenians across the world when their mother country became an independent republican with its own government and presidency. Our troops did the Austral-Armenian community and their mother country extremely proud! Well done to 912R, 9-12W, 13-14R and our 15+ groups, and to all of our spectators and supporters.

ASDC In Eurofest Ararat Reserve, September 2012

Following a spectacular performance at Galstaun College, the ASDC also took the stage at this year’s Eurofest. Our dancers represented the Armenian community of Australia proudly, through their demeanour and obvious love and respect for their mother country. We commend the dancers of 13-14, 7-10F & 11-14F and their instructors for their wonderful efforts, and also thank members of the community who supported us during this successful event.

We have quite a few fun filled events and occasions approaching, and we cant wait to see all of you there in support of the ASDC and your culture

The ASDC will also be performing at the Sydney Armenian Festival on the 9th of December in Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour. This will be a fun filled day highlighting the Armenian culture to the people of Sydney, and reinforcing what is it be an Armenian, especially within Australia.

ASDC Group Camp & Picnic

We are holding an OUTDOOR ADVENTURE CAMP at Castle Mountain Camp Site, Wisemans Ferry. This will be an overnight event, from the 15th to the 16th of December and is offered to the following groups: 13- 14, 13+F, 15+ and 18+. All other groups and their families have been invited to our DAY TRIP PICNIC, which will be held on Sunday 16th of December at 1pm, where we will be holding a BBQ. An official email will be sent to all ASDC members and their families with more details.

Prof. Taner Akcam will feature as the keynote speaker at this years ANC Australia Annual Banquet which is to be held at Miramare Gardens.
