On Oct. 25 Mark and Maggie O'Connor were special guests in Orono, ME for a performance on National Public Radio's "From the Top" sharing the stage with four amazingly talented teenage musicians, selfie above just after the show in front of a live audience!

Mr. O'Connor performed a lively and masterful “Libertango” from the upcoming O’Connor Method Book V with Nathan Meltzer, age 15 from New York. Mark also performed “Congress Hoedown” from O’Connor Method Book III with the show’s talented host and pianist Christopher O’Riley. Along with more fantastic performances by these young musicians of Brahms, Beethoven, Debussy, and more, Mark and Maggie performed the first movement of Mr. O’Connor’s "String Quartet No. 1" with Hae Sue Lee, a fabulous violist from Korea, and Olivia Marckx, an amazing cellist from Seattle. The next day the young musicians conducted a workshop at a local middle school, inspiring their peers with their love and dedication to music. Now that is what we like to see with A New American School of String Playing! Congratulations to all involved for an amazing show, which will be aired on December 14! You can find out more by clicking the "Listen to the Show" button below.
