...and that you are still committed to all your goals and resolutions (like taking more dance classes)! Ajna had a stellar 2014 and we are pumped for what this year will bring.
We've made a lot of progress in our mission of sharing authentic, artistic Indian dance and wanted to share some highlights from the last year:
Partnered with countless public and private schools, colleges and universities in New York and New Jersey offering residencies, workshops and assemblies teaching students about the history and diversity of dance in India
Worked with Russian gold medalist figure skaters Maxim Trankov & Tatiana Volosozhar
Bollywood flashmobs for the New York Indian Film Festival at Times Square & Union Square which got us featured in the Times of India
Rubin Museums, Macy's with Miss America - Nina Davuluri, Women's Education Project, The Parekh Family Foundation Gala, the FDA, Wells Fargo, MoMA Film and The Salvation Army
Bhangra lessons at Basement Bhangra and Battery Park with DJ Rekha
Workshops for Chhaya Community Development Corporation and the young women from SAYA's Desi Girls leadership program
Cardio Bollywood classes at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley
We would like to thank our loyal students who have contributed to the steady growth and success of our weekly Bollywood/Bhangra & Classical-Blend classes. And a big thank you to all of our partners, clients and supporters.
Stay tuned for upcoming classes, performances and events in 2015, including a performance at the United Nations in February.
