Dear Family,
It is with great expectation and confident hope that I declare 2016 as the year of signs and wonders.
I had been praying and asking God for a prophetic word when I received a prophecy from David Thom that 2016 would be the year of signs and wonders for Word of Faith Christian Centre and its people. David, a well-known prophet, could not have known about my request to the Lord as I had not been in communication with him for many months. Therefore, the timing at which I received this message greatly encouraged me that this is a word from God to us as a church and family.
What are your expectations for 2016?
I expect exactly what God has promised and I need you to come into unity with me, for Jesus said, “Where two or three ask anything in my name it will be done of the Father.”
We thank God for the blessings of 2015 which, in spite of the challenges, was a glorious victory for us as the Kingdom of God, and I believe 2016 is going to be even better!
Our Bible School has been flourishing and we expect to see a great intake of new students for 2016. Our 11th annual Arise conference will be taking place during September 2016, at which we look forward to hosting renowned speaker, ChiChi Bismark. ChiChi is the wife of international speaker and Bishop, Tudor Bismark, and is also one of the most sought-after women’s conference speakers in the world. Together with her husband, ChiChi pastors a mega church in Zimbabwe’s capital, Harare, where the members are prospering in spite of their country’s economy.
We are grateful to God for our Tanzanian missionaries, Prophet Denvar and Rene Marks’ ministry, which has launched our church into God’s promise of signs and wonders for 2016. I'd like to thank them for hosting our meetings on the 3rd and 10th of January with a powerful  series called ‘Embegu: The Seed’.
Without prayer and fasting, none of God’s promises will take place. We invite you to join us in a fast from the 18th to the 22nd of January, ending with a half-night of prayer called ‘The War Room’.

On Sunday the 24th of January Gary Kieswetter, who is a favourite amongst the NG denomination, will minister at all three services. We need to spread the word amongst those from this denomination especially, as many of the national NG leaders are conforming to cultures and lifestyles that are contrary to the Word of God.

This year we are introducing an opportunity for every believer to complete further studies in God’s Word. Four separate courses with in-depth sessions on topics such as Broken Trust will be presented throughout the year. Each course is offered in association with WOFBI and Transworld Accreditating Commision International. Upon registering and attending all four courses you will receive a certificate with WOFBI credits. This certificate will be presented to you at the 2016 Word of Faith Bible Institute graduation. We encourage you to apply for full-time studies with WOFBI, but if that’s not possible for you right now, we’d like to offer you the opportunity to start your studies toward a Bible College qualification, part-time. The Broken Trust course takes place on Sundays at The Way Service {5PM}. Dates: 7, 14 & 21 February, 6 & 20 March & 3 April. Registration forms can be completed at the Info Desk on Sunday.

Who could ever forget Bishop Don Meares’ powerful sermon on forgiveness last January! Well, we have some great news. He and his team will be back with us on the 30th and 31st of January 2016. On Saturday the 30th of January we will be hosting a Business Breakfast with Harvey Campbell at 7:30am and a High Tea with Marion Meares and the Women’s Net 144 at 10am. On Sunday, the 31st of January, Bishop Meares will preach at our 9am and 5pm services and Harvey Campbell will speak at our 7pm service.

Finally, Mike and Karen Cerff, two of the most successful cell growth pastors this country has ever seen, will be speaking at the Coaching Clinic for Connect Leaders on the 26th and 27th of February. Karen, who has earned a PhD in Counselling and Coaching from Regent University under the leadership of the 700 club’s Pat Robertson, and Mike will also be teaching on how you can take your life to the next level at all three services on the Sunday 28th of February. We are aiming to double our number of Connect Groups in 2016 and have decided to reinstate School of Leaders, now known as Power Point, in the month of March.
We plan on bringing other great names to Word of Faith throughout the year, but the church of Jesus Christ only grows when the volunteers do their part. We urge you to join us in obeying the Master, fulfilling His will and building His Kingdom.
Your Pastor & Shepherd
