Amazon puts Sacrifice and The 13th on their 100 List for January!
This month,
Amazon.com is featuring the ebook editions of my novels Sacrifice and The 13th on their 100 Kindle Books for $3.99 or Less list! Every month, Amazon (in its mysterious Amazonian way), picks 100 ebooks to put on sale in various genres and then features them on a promotional list —
and this month, under the Mysteries & Thrillers section, they are featuring my 2nd and 3rd mass market novels for Leisure Books for just $2.99!
Just scroll down the page to see the bookcovers for Sacrifice and The 13th. If you haven't read these yet, I hope you'll take advantage of the sale. And if you have —
please help spread the word about them?
I'd really love to see these novels get some more exposure, so if you could visit the book's pages this week, hit the little Like button at the top of the page, and click on the little checkboxes for the "Subject Tags" at the bottom of the pages to agree with the keywords there (like Occult Horror, Erotic Horror, Thriller, etc.), that would be awesome! Goodreads BDSM Group Featuring NightWhere in January
The Goodreads BDSM Group is featuring
NightWhere as one of its group reads for January. I have to admit, I never thought one of my books would be the topic of discussion for a BDSM reading group but... what the hell!
NightWhere certainly has some of the subject matter to fit! There has been some great discussion on the thread so far — if you're interested in joining in, just bounce over to:

New Review:
A review of
NightWhere also recently appeared on
Music Artery and said the novel,
"can only be described as the stuff of nightmares! This book is definitely not for younger readers, nor for the squeamish. That said, all other horror lovers absolutely must check this one out. It’s definitely different than anything you’ve experienced before (I hope – if not you have bigger issues)! ... It’s definitely a tale you won’t soon forget!" You can see the full review here:

New Year, New NightWhere
I can't believe this much time has passed... but on Halloween — literally, on
Halloween — I signed two contracts for special editions of
NightWhere.
Bad Moon Books will be issuing a limited edition hardcover of the novel later this year. They did an amazing job with
Siren, and I can't wait to see what they do with this one.
For audiobook lovers, I've also inked a deal with
AudioRealms.com, who will be issuing an audiobook edition of
NightWhere this year.
And, as if that wasn't enough, later this year there will also be a German edition, from the same folks who will be issuing a translation of
Siren (retitled as
Ligeia) this spring —
Festa Verlag.
I'll post direct links to all of these when they're available.
Thanks, and good night....

I can't believe that 2012 has come and gone. I remember at the start of it thinking that 2012 would be a more "relaxed" year for me. Instead, with all of the travel I did for my dayjob, I think it may have been one of the most frenetic. But it's all good. I saw a lot of cool things... sampled a lot of great micro-brews... and got a lot of writing done. If you want to read my reflections on my experience of 2012, check out my
Goodbye 12, Hello Lucky 13 blog.
Otherwise, drop me a note and let me know what you think of the new newsletter format... and I'll catch up with you next month!
Here's to Lucky '13!

John
