GPYC Racquet Rules

 
  1. Reservations
 
  1. All digital reservations will take precedence over walk-on usage regardless of the time or day. The walk-on party shall leave the court or upon approval of the Racquet’s Director be relocated to another court.  In the case of a special event, reserved court time may be altered at the discretion of the Racquet Director. 
  2. Digital court reservations are limited to two hours per day with a one-week advance booking window. All digital bookings must include the participants in the notes section and specifically indicate guest name(s) and hosting member of the guest(s). Generic participant lists will be deleted from the system.
  3. Provided court time is available, children under 18 will be allowed to reserve court time on weekdays and weekend without infringement. A note shall be provided by their parents/guardians to the Racquets Director indicating their reservation.
 
     B. Guests

 
  1. A fee will be charged for each guest each time the guest uses the pickleball or tennis courts. The number of guests on a court shall not exceed the number of members present at any time. Exceptions to this rule may occur under the designation of a special event hosted by the Club or a member. Members shall incur court rental fees for special event usage. The fee will be set at the discretion of the Club.
  2. Members should notify both the front security gate and the Racquet Director of the name(s) of their guest(s) in advance of their arrival at the facility. A guest of a member is permitted to play twice a month. Once that guest has played twice in one month, they’re no longer permitted to play again utilizing another host member within that same month. 
C. Dress
  1. Proper pickleball/tennis apparel will always be required. Regulation tennis/pickle shoes will be required without exception. Sandals and running shoes will not be permitted on the courts. Shirts must be worn by everyone on the courts and in the Tennis House without exception. Swimsuits and cutoffs are prohibited. 
  
D. Food & Beverage
  1. Outside food and drink, with the exception of water, sports drinks, and small energy bars, are prohibited. Alcohol beverages and coolers brought from home are prohibited. For member events, members shall utilize the Club for all food and beverage needs without exception. 
  2. No food or drink, with the exception of water, is to be taken onto the courts.
 
E. Other Rules and Courtesies

 
  1. The gate nearest the reserved court will be used to enter and exit the court area. Members shall not walk across or behind occupied courts.
  2. No shows to special events will be charged. No shows to digitally booked court time shall be charged a no-show fee.
  3. All private lessons and private groups adhere to a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. Private lessons and drills shall strictly be administered by GPYC Racquet Professionals.
  4. To be respectful to others, members are kindly asked to arrive no later than 15-minutes after the drill start time.
  5. No spectators or non-playing children are allowed on the courts. Exceptions can be made at the discretion of the Racquets Director.
  6. Vaping and smoking are strictly prohibited on campus.
  7. Courteous behavior and sportsmanlike conduct are expected from both members and guests at all times.
