BASKETBALL! February is high school basketball tournament time.  My 14 year old, Conley plays on the Junior Varsity and Carly plays on the Varsity.  I will be spending some time going to tournament games in February.  Pull for Jackson Academy!

GET FIT! This is important, so we will run it again.  News reports say that the biggest New Year’s resolutions are to get fit or lose weight. Reports also say that most people give up on this quest by the end of two months. My personal experience is that most people rarely last three weeks! We believe in fitness here at Chinn & Associates. We counsel our clients that the best way to handle the stress of domestic situations is to work out. If you are interested in a work out program and have the means, we recommend committing to a trainer. Commit to enough time to create a new habit. Over the years, I have come in contact and used a number of trainers. If you are in the Jackson metropolitan area, I recommend the following trainers: Clint Barr with Raising The Barr Fitness in Ridgeland, 601-414-3536 (Clint will grant a $100 gift certificate); Eclesius Franklin in Fondren, 601-720-2452; Daryl Hobson, 601-400-6931; Lacey at The Clinic, 6935 Old Canton Road, Ridgeland, MS.

HOLIDAY CLOSING: We will be closed Monday, February 18 for President's Day because the Courts will be closed.

NEW ASSOCIATION: Drew Hassin has joined our firm in an “of counsel” status. Drew maintains his own law practice and will be working with us on a case by case basis. We are proud of Drew. He used to work with us before attending law school and has now returned following his graduation and establishment of his own practice!

RECEPTION: As we say every month, our firm believes in what we call “Ritz Carlton Service.” We have invested in a telephone system which allows access to all of our team members and which allows for voice mail messages. Judy only works mornings. If you call and wish to speak to a particular person and they are unavailable, you may either leave a voice mail or ask to speak with someone else. Listed below are our extension numbers. We also want our clients to be able to contact us after hours about emergency matters, so our cell phone numbers are also listed below.
