Windigo Fest in Manitowoc

Spooky season is upon us!

And that means Windigo Fest is nigh!

Windigo Fest has been kicking off the Halloween season annually since 2017 with a costume contest, celebrity guests, live music, spooky performances, creepy vendors, a dark art show and more. And this year’s lineup definitely won’t disappoint, with Jason Voorhees himself, Kane Hodder, in attendance!

Inviting Satan to Manitowoc

The Devil Comes to Manitowoc

DID YOU KNOW: The first year of Windigo Fest had the local Christian community clutching their pearls. A Halloween festival named after a Native American legend that eats people! Taking place on dates that added up to 13! And a costume parade going the wrong way (backwards!) down a one-way street! Surely that was an open invitation to Satan himself to wander the streets of Manitowoc.

Sadly, Satan never showed up, to the best of my knowledge - maybe because of all the praying they did - but Windigo Fest was a devilish good time and continues to thrill year after year.
