Urgyen Sangharakshita was born in London on 26 August 1925. Ninety years on, we come together for this special evening to celebrate the visionary who has dedicated his life to Buddhism, the Dharma and the Triratna Buddhist Community.
Brought to you by Young Triratna Sydney, all are most welcome to this special puja that marks a great milestone in the life of the founder of the Triratna movement.

Booking is essential and if you're unable to make it to Vijayaloka on the Thursday evening, it will be possible for anyone to arrive on Friday for this retreat.
Can't make the retreat this weekend? Why not head down to Vijayaloka on Saturday to take part in the celebrations for the day!
Dharmananda and Chittaprabha will be leading talks from 4pm and you could join for lunch beforehand. All are welcome to stay for dinner and the puja which commences at 7.30pm.
Thursday 27 August to Sunday 30 August, Vijayaloka
If you're coming along to the Birthday Celebration Retreat, we'd love you to bring along any photos of Bhante Sangharakshita that you might have, as well as any poems, readings and memories you would like to share.
In a series of interviews, A Life in Objects, Sangharakshita has chosen an object to represent each decade of his life. Likewise, on this retreat, we can look back over our own lives and reflect on the influence of the Dharma, the Triratna community and Bhante's teachings.
