I hope everyone is staying warm and safe as Winter truly barrels towards us all here on the East Coast, while we’re all still grappling with the pandemic, even as the light at the end of the tunnel (in the form of the vaccine!) is starting to come into view…
Most of you know by now I’ve been hustling all around NYC the past year, trying to keep our Jazz Community and live music afloat while still adhering to Covid protocols. Lately that’s equated to lots of outdoor shows with igloos and space heaters…you’d be amazed at the fortitude of NYC audiences, who still show up and show out for Jazz, even in a blizzard! Here’s where you can catch me regularly if you happen to be in NY:
*Sundays 7-10pm: “The Craftsman” - Morningside Heights, NYC
*Tuesdays & Fridays 7-9pm: “Rue B” - Alphabet City, NYC (Lower East Side)
*Saturday, March 6th 730-930pm: “The Roxy Hotel” - Tribeca, NYC (1-NIGHT ONLY!)
NYC is officially bringing back “Indoor Dining” at 25% capacity on Valentine’s Day, and it’s my earnest hope that as the vaccine continues to disseminate through the ranks of New Yorkers, we can take this important step and move forward on a path to normalcy again soon! This will allow many venues in the city to once again (safely!) host shows, and it will get more cats working again, which is of the utmost need at this point in time. I can’t wait to be back in packed clubs, feeding off of YOUR energy again - I miss real audiences!
