On January 10, Annalee Gulley, Director of Public Policy and Government Affairs at Mental Health America of Greater Houston, will bring more than a decade of experience working with federal, state and municipal legislators to GHATP. She'll discuss the Texas State Legislature’s increased focus on mental health interventions. Their goal? To reduce/prevent school violence. Whether you have kids, know kids or work with kids, you don't want to miss this.

A little more about Annalee: A native Houstonian, she began her career in Senator Edward M. Kennedy's Washington, D.C. office and stayed with him in different capacities through 2004. Gulley worked the 2006 cycle for Montana Senator Jon Tester and returned home to Houston in 2010 to serve as a Regional Communications Director for Bill White for Texas. In 2011, she joined KGBTexas communications where she developed and spearheaded communications and public affairs strategies for clients including Southwest Airlines, Schlumberger and San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro's successful 2012 Pre-K for S.A. campaign. After serving as Communications Director to Adrian Garcia in 2015, Gulley served as Communications and Planning Director for Houston City Council Member Amanda Edwards before joining MHA of Greater Houston.
