BEST INDEPENDENT ITALIAN MOVIE

AND THERE WAS EVENING AND THERE WAS MORNING (original title E FU SERA E FU MATTINA), directed by Emanuele Caruso, has been awarded with the Italian F.I.C.E. (Italian Federation of Essay Cinemas) Award as the Best Italian Independent Film of the Year.

Auto-distributed in theatres starting from last January 2014, AND THERE WAS EVENING AND THERE WAS MORNING has got, during the past months a growing success at the box-office, insomuch as it now represents a real "case" in the Italian distribution panorama.

AND THERE WAS EVENING AND THERE WAS MORNING was recently internationally premiered at Montreal FFDM, and will have in a few weeks its U.S. premiere at Petaluma International Film Festival.

Synopsis
In the main square of the town of Avila, everybody is celebrating the feast of Saint Eurosia, protector of earth’s harvest. But something is happening in the village bar…

Director
Born in Alba, Italy in 1985, Emanuele Caruso graduated from the National Cinema Academy of Bologna. He directed Una scelta di vita (2007) and Elogio alla solitudine (2010) before making his first documentary feature, MENO 100 CHILE, in 2013, shown at many international festivals.
