It grieves the Presbytery Staff deeply that scam artists have impersonated Jerrod Lowry in his time of grief. Sadly, there are persons in the Presbytery that have fallen for the imposter's schemes again thinking they were giving a gift to Jerrod or for the Presbytery staff. Please be aware and let people know that:
NEVER
will Presbytery Staff ask for g-ft card numbers by email or text. Never.
NEVER
will Presbytery Staff ask you for money urgently.
Never.
NEVER
will Presbytery Staff ask you for funds and not be available to confirm our identity "because we are in a meeting."
Never.
NEVER
send g-ft card numbers to ANYONE by email or text that you have not contacted using their landline or known phone number.
Never.
NEVER
will official communications come to you from the Presbytery Staff using GMAIL YAHOO HOTMAIL or other free email providers. (The one exception is the Youth Council GMAIL account.)

** These scammers are persuasive and convincing.
** They have some basic info about Jerrod Lowry and your name so they seem legitimate.
** The death of Jerrod's wife is very public and they may make reference to it.
** They have even used a photo of Jerrod and his title.
** Anyone who asks you for g-ft card numbers by email or text are fakers, imposters, thieves.
** the email address they use will resemble something legitimate but often have a slight misspelling:
jerod.lowry.presbycc@(free-something)
or Jerrrod.lowry.presbycc@(free-email-of-some-kind)
Notice the one or 3 Rs or
they might spell lowrey with a e that does not belong.
Other members of the staff maybe impersonated as well.
** this same type of theft can also be done in the name of your pastor or any community leader or even your friends.
Jerrod simply requests your continuing prayers at this time for his children, his and Molly's extended family, all who are recovering from COVID, and for himself.
