Holistic Management

Last month Molly and Biswick attended a 10-day Savory Hub Leadership Bootcamp at the African Center for Holistic Land Management. They walked the land with Allan Savory himself, were greeted each morning by an orphaned elephant, Dojiwe, and learned about the holistic decision making process. Using this holistic approach, each department and demonstration at the centre has developed a thoughtful business plan- so get ready to see big things from us in FY 2015-2016. Growing in Mangochi

We are delighted to announce that The African Moringa and Permaculture Project (AMPP) is merging with Kusamala over the next few months. AMPP has been working in Mangochi District since 2013 on establishing holistic systems integrating kitchen gardens, food forests and small livestock. The merger is an excellent platform for greater synergy and collaboration in the national Permaculture movement. You can read more about AMPP's work in the Guardian online.

July PDC

In an effort to avoid the sweltering heat of October, we are holding our Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) course at the end of July this year. Kicking off on July 22, we already have people attending from as far as Somalia. Register for your spot in the course now! info@kusamala.org

Veg Boxes are Back!

After a brief hiatus, our veg box program will recommence in August! We've revamped the gardens to support a greater diversity of produce and are now offering a variety of subscription lengths to local customers. Spaces are limited, so sign-up now! vegbox@kusamala.org
