What a Way to End the Year!

So far we have had a fantastic December, the weather has been great and everyone is enjoying participating in a wide range of outdoor activities. Here is a selection of what we’ve been up to:-
  • Lanark Grammar/Castlebank Park school programme - making Christmas decorations, planting oak tree seeds and planting up window boxes.
  • Our soft landscaping team have completed path work at the Castle Loch Estate in Lochmaben.
  •  Environmental volunteering programme:
  • Monthly Maudslie Woods conservation group - thinning beech saplings.
  • Willow maintenance, New Lanark.
  • Cleghorn Roman Fort - clearing regeneration growth.
  • Regular slots at Castlebank Park, Lesmahagow Allotments, Lanark Moor Sensory Garden and the Forth Eco Project.
From January we will be running a monthly volunteering session at the Lesmahagow Allotments. (check Clyde and Avon Valley Landscape Partnership Events page for details) .

We ran a fantastic living willow workshop for the Central Scotland Smallholders Association. We have also been hard at work doing maintenance work on the living willow tunnel at Clearburn Park, New Lanark. While our commercial team have been building willow tunnels at two primary schools in Falkirk

Our wooden products and Christmas cards and decorations have been selling well this year.  There is still time to make a purchase before Christmas! We are also selling Clyde Valley Orchard Group’s Organic Apple Juice. Please check our facebook page, phone or just pop in to see the range.

We will be running Employability Workshops, in partnership with LAMH World of Work, starting from Tuesday 17th January for 6 weeks, here at Langloch Farm. Workshops will cover topics such as CV writing, interview techniques and how to fill out applications for employment or further education.

We look forward to another busy year in 2017 and would like to wish all our supporters and partners a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

A Final Push for 2016

Well it’s full steam ahead for the landscaping teams right up until Christmas! With three schools in West Lothian and one in Falkirk almost complete we are delighted that the pupils will come back in the New Year to fantastic new playground facilities.
A huge thanks to our teams for working so hard to bring these projects to completion.
We look forward to 2017 with pride in the amazing projects we have successfully  undertaken this year and can’t wait to get stuck into some more challenges in the New Year.
Here is a small reminder of some of this year’s completed works.
