Andrew King, RMT joins our team!

Say hello to our newest team member 

We are very happy to announce the arrival of another great RMT at Body Poets Massage Therapy. Andrew King will join our growing clinic on March 21st, as our 9th therapist. 

Andrew brings a keen understanding of sports injury and rehabilitation to the team, as a large number of his clients are runners or other athletes. From helping new runners, to treating those who are training for the Boston Marathon, Andrew has worked with a wide variety of people who run for recreation, fitness, or sport. And his skills reach beyond runners to the numerous other athletes he sees in his practice. Using orthopedic assessments, muscle testing, and postural analysis to help create individualized treatments, Andrew is able to target the main mechanism of pain or injury, allowing better recovery and performance. 

Along with his adeptness at treating injury, Andrew is trained in hot stone massage and relaxation massage, and can offer you a blend of styles that fits you perfectly. With his easy personality and mellow indie tunes in the background, Andrew creates a warm, inviting, and comfortably familiar atmosphere for his clients, allowing you to relax and de-stress fully. 

Andrew joins the team as a full-time RMT, Saturdays (9-5), and Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays (12-8). Stop in and say hello to our newest Body Poet!

Healthy Habit:

Making a habit of having low-level physical activity in your day can help you live longer. Researchers have studied the lives of people in the healthiest communities around the world. They found that many of the longest living people have some sort of low level of physical activity incorporated in their life, be it sitting on the floor, which makes getting up more challenging than when sitting on a chair, to walking a longer route to get to their destination, to gardening. Find ways to challenge yourself at low levels each day -- it will be good for your health in the long run!
