We were successful in receiving funding through NSW Festival of Place, a state wide initiative where the activities are free, open and accessible to all and are about activating open spaces in our city centres. We have also used this opportunity to work towards a key action from our Griffith Destination Tourism Plan 2021-24, to encourage the formation of CBD seasonal markets, so we are very excited and trust they will be well supported.

We have been busy working on a brand-spanking-new, user-friendly and ever-so attractive Visit Griffith website. As identified in our Destination Tourism Plan, our current website is in need of a refresh. Our new website should be live and functioning by July 2022 and we can’t wait to share it with you.

More exciting news - our new Visit Griffith visitor guide is in the making. We have over 100 Visit Griffith Ambassadors coming on board to assist in growing the profile of Griffith as a destination, driving increased visitation to our region. The visitor guide is a key destination marketing tool, distributed Australia-wide.

You might have noticed our Visitor Information Centre has had a new blue splash of paint! We have also been creating a brand new Interpretive Display Area inside, which will be open for you to come and experience towards the end of the month. This space will give you an insight into all that makes Griffith what it is today. We look forward to sharing it with you soon.

We are very excited to re-launch our Seasonal What’s On guide, kicking things off with our Autumn 2022 edition. Pick up your pocket sized guide from the Griffith Visitor Information Centre to find out all that is happening in Griffith this season. It is jam-packed full of exciting events with something to suit everyone. To keep an eye on upcoming events visit our online calendar.
