MURAL ARTISTS PAINTING LIVE
Have you ever had the chance to get up close and watch in real-time, some of Australia's best mural artists as they transform a huge wall and create a larger than life artwork? Well now is the time to take advantage of this opportunity and check out Banna Lane as 6 artists meticulously map out and design their unique works. Pictured left is Di Tarr & Lisa Taliano as they take over the Griffith Visitor Information Centre wall!

GNOCCHI & CHESTNUT FESTA
Saturday 7 May, 11am
It’s that time of the year! Celebrate the humble gnocco and it’s amico the chestnut with Zecca Handmade Italian on Saturday 7 May. Tickets are $75, which includes prosecco on arrival, house cured salumi and preserves, gnocchi lunch chestnuts, vin brule-mulled wine and live music. Tickets are limited. Find out more HERE.

RIVERINA FIELD DAYS
Saturday 13 May & Sunday 14 May
A 2-day annual event held at the Griffith Showgrounds, showcasing what’s new in farming, best farming practices, new technology, and a networking opportunity for farmers across a vast range of industries. You’ll find everything from a spanner to a header, giftware to trucks, craft to confectionary, automotive, ag machinery arts and craft and more! Find out more HERE.

LIVE SHOWS AT THE THEATRE
Catch Up on live performances with another jam-packed line up of shows scheduled at Griffith Regional Theatre in May. There's plenty for music lovers; Diesel, The Fleetwood Mac Experience, Songs of Joni Mitchell and more. Take a personalised tour with Banna Lane Festival Manager through the laneway, engaging with each of the artists along the way. There will be an opportunity for Q&A. Find out more HERE.

LIGHTING UP THE LANE
Saturday 7 May, 5pm - 10pm

The annual Banna Lane Festival laneway party is taking place to celebrate the newest additions of the murals to the CBD. Wander the laneway exploring each of the sites (it will be closed to traffic). Alongside the new murals, there will be live music, food, drinks, and activities for the kids to enjoy making it a fun and unique night out for the whole family to enjoy. Find out more HERE.

WEEKEND SUNRISE
We were excited to host Destination NSW and Channel Seven’s Weekend Sunrise as part of a bespoke travel series called ‘JT Travels NSW’. Broadcasting the weather crosses live from Piccolo Family Farm was just perfect as the sun rose. A number of local events and experiences were showcased and we know there will be many visitors that were watching and can't wait to come and visit us in Griffith!

GRIFFITH EASTER PARTY 2022
Griffith Easter Party was a huge success with most events being sold out, our local eateries were overflowing and local retailers were inundated with customers - which is brilliant for all! Our visitors were blown away with the unique hospitality and reported that they were well informed with events and experiences on offer, having pre-booked tickets to avoid missing out on all that was on offer.

DESTINATION INSPIRATION EVENT
Destination Riverina Murray's (DRM) held their Destination Inspiration Event in Corowa a few weeks ago, in partnership with Murray Regional Tourism. There were a number of inspirational stories from within the region and beyond, hearing from visitor attractions, tour operators, food and beverage businesses as well as other tourism organisations to inspire up and coming operators to grow the visitor economy. RIVERINA WINE HUB GRANT
We are excited to share that Riverina Winemakers have received funding to create a Riverina Wine Hub here at the old Ambulance Station here in Griffith. A huge congratulations to Riverina Winemakers Association – this is fantastic news for the region!

GROUP TRAVEL RETURNS
It has been great to see the return of group travel to the area. We have welcomed several rail groups to the city, arriving in old-school romantic style on vintage trains and spending time exploring the local area and our neighbouring regions. GRIFFITH IN THE MEDIA

Griffith was featured in DNSW's recent EDM which includes the latest news for travel media in NSW. The EDM titled 'Uncovered' touched on some of our unique tourism offerings such as local wineries, our events, our food and more. Check out the full write up HERE.

RIVERINA WINEGRAPE GROWERS
Riverina Winegrape Growers has been representing regional growers since 1933 and proudly supports the growers of this wonderful region. Some interesting stats:
- 22,000ha of wine grapes planted in rows (enough to stretch around Aus. coastline x 3)
- 12.5 million cases of bottled wine per annum for export
- There are 300 wine grape growers in the region.

The Griffith Visitor Information Centre is the Tourism Hub, offering visitor servicing, marketing and events. It is a great first stop for any visitor to the region.
