Can you believe we have completed 4,500 adoptions in less than 9 years? That’s 4,500 saved lives and 4,500 happy families and/or individuals.
It never ceases to amaze me how our small and yet dedicated team of staff and volunteers have created such a tremendous impact in the community. The most incredible part of our operation is how seamlessly everyone works together. Every volunteer contributes something different to the center to ensure that every task, no matter how big or small, gets done. Some clean and do laundry, some help out at events, some walk and play with the dogs, some foster, and of course, I don’t know where we would be without our much-appreciated poop scooping crew!
Thanks to all of these wonderful volunteers, we’re currently on track to save another 800 dogs in 2019. But the last four months of the year are usually the hardest. With the holidays around the corner, we receive numerous calls a day from overcrowded shelters and owners wanting to surrender their pets. The need to step in and save these dogs has never been greater.
If you are volunteering with us and contributing to our cause, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you are not yet a volunteer, please get involved. Whether you decide to volunteer with Lakeshore PAWS or at your local animal shelter, now is the time to take action.

It’ll be an exciting evening of drinks, appetizers, and a silent and live auction. The best part of all is that a big portion of the proceeds will be going towards Lakeshore PAWS.

Big thanks to the Drang/Schoenling families. This group can be found many days of the week at the adoption center walking dogs, introducing dogs to potential adopters and helping out in so many other ways.
