Put your paws together for the BEST event of the year... Pup Crawl 2022!
Mark your calendars! Lakeshore PAWS is hosting the annual Pup Crawl on June 18th at 5pm in downtown Valparaiso at Central Park Plaza, Home to the Northwest Health Ampitheater.
For those of you who would like to participate in the dog walk and receive a complimentary goody bag, you can sign up HERE!
(No shame if you just want the goody bag...there's tons of great swag!)
For those of you looking to simply kick back, relax and enjoy the evening, there will be local food vendors, pet vendors, a beer and wine tent, and of course, music by the Crawpuppies and Ryan Staniszeski!
Please join us for an evening of fun, charity, and LOTS of dogs!
Our volunteer of the month is the amazing Mr. Thomas Rotter! Thomas graduated from Purdue and moved to Valparaiso in 2018 to work as a data analyst. He started volunteering at LSP as a way to meet people, get involved in the community, and spend time with dogs. He adopted his dog Jammer from Lakeshore PAWS in 2019, and he's been a crucial member of the Lakeshore PAWS for the past four years.
Thomas helps out around the center by walking and training dogs, showing dogs to potential adopters, and facilitating playgroups. We LOVE his photos and videos of the dogs playing together!
Thomas loves getting to know each dog's personality and quirks, and then sharing that information with interested adopters. Anyone who meets Thomas can tell he's a natural with animals and cares deeply about every dog that comes to the center. We're beyond proud to have him as a member of a team. Put your paws together for Thomas!
⭐️ 🐾 Dog of the Month 🐾 ⭐️
4 years old, Lab mix Potty trained Female, spayed 76 pounds, needs to go on a diet! Prefers to be the only fur baby
Tatum was recently surrendered back to us due to changing family circumstances. She is a sweet girl who's ready to receive ALL of your love...she promises to give you all of hers in return!
Tatum is a super affectionate dog who is passionate about belly rubs and treats. She walks nicely on a leash, knows basic commands and takes treats gently. She would prefer to live life as a couch potato (same here, Tatum), but she needs a bit of exercise and a healthy diet. She plays well with respectful kids and will be a perfect family dog, as long as she's the only dog.
Call us to schedule an appointment to meet this lovable gal.
