Dear Lakeshore PAWS pals,

As we say goodbye to July and head into August, I would like to give a shoutout to the stars of summer at Lakeshore PAWS: our donors!

Without our incredible donors, we could not have continued to operate during these difficult times. Since cancelling the Pup Crawl, our largest fundraising event of the year, we were unsure of what our donations and funding would look like in 2020. And then you, our Lakeshore PAWS family, carried us through!

Donations from individuals have kept us afloat since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and we cannot express how grateful we are for every single donor and every single cent! I would like to give a special thank you to our reoccurring donors that give every month; your commitment to our cause means everything to us.
With your kind donations, we have been able to support our medical fund and afford heart worm treatment for multiple dogs. We have also had the opportunity to save the many senior dogs that are continuously surrendered and overlooked at shelters. Due to their age, these dogs typically require a little extra medical attention and love. Thanks to you, we've been able to give them just that! There's nothing like seeing the happiness in a senior dogs eyes when they go home with a family and get their second chance at life.

I know that there are many worthy causes in need of your support within our community, across the country and around the world. To think that you have included Lakeshore PAWS in your personal giving plan overwhelms me with appreciation. From the bottom of my heart: thank you!

Gratefully Yours,
Jeanne Sommer

Volunteers of the Month,
Lynette and John Fluck
Put your paws together for Lynette and John Fluck, a dynamic volunteering duo who have made themselves essential members of the Lakeshore PAWS family!

They have been maintaining our lawn, performing all of the miscellaneous maintenance around the facility (there's a LOT!), and even fostering puppies. This amazing pair always comes in clutch when we need to transport dogs to events, too.

We are so grateful for them!
Dog of the Month,
Post Malone

Hi there, my name is Post Malone and I’m a 4 year old Pit Mix. I was surrendered to a partner shelter extremely heartbroken and malnourished. The shelter helped me gain a little weight, and then Lakeshore PAWS said I could crash at their place for a bit!

I'm a lovable guy with gorgeous eyes, if I don't say so myself. I’m focused on my future and finding my forever family. I prefer to be the only dog in a house and am not fond of cats! The staff offers a three day trial where you can take me home and make sure I’m a good fit for your family. I even know a few tricks.

Come meet me and let's party!
